Gligar needs a Razor Fang to evolve into Gliscor but players aren’t sure where to find one in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl.

Gligar is among the most popular Pokémon available to players in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. The tiny fanged bat was first introduced in Generation II but received an evolution in Generation IV, Gliscor. The evolution was exclusive to the Platinum Pokédex but Gliscor has made an appearance in the new Sinnoh remakes.

Catching Gligar is easy enough, as it’s available in accessible locations throughout the story of Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl. The question on players’ minds is how they can evolve Gligar into Gliscor using the Razor Fang. Below, players can find the answer to this nagging question.

Finding a Razor Fang in Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl

The Razor Fang is a held item that’s used to evolve certain Pokémon, namely Gligar. The item also helps reduce flinching chance on Pokémon. A mon with the Serene Grace ability, like Togepi, doubles the effectiveness of the Razor Fang.

However, a majority of players will be looking for the item to evolve Gligar into Gliscor. In order to acquire the Razor Fang, though, players have to complete the main story of Pokémon Brilliant Diamond and Shining Pearl and beat the Elite Four. Once players have reached the post-game, they can begin their search for a Razor Fang.

The item is only located in the Fight Resort, namely the Battle Park. Players can find it in the southwest corner of the park or by exchanging five Battle Points at the Battle Tower. This allows players to have two Razor Fangs.

To evolve Gligar, players need to have the Pokémon hold the Razor Fang and level it up at night. This will trigger the evolution into Gliscor and players now have a powerful Ground and Flying-type Pokémon in their party.
